What is Haydon up to in April/May 2023?
Hey Gym N Japan Fam! And welcome a two week block of posts by both of us! This week will be for myself and next week will be with Jake. Over the next few weeks we will both be almost too busy to actually write a post so we have scheduled these in advance so that you all have some content while we are taking a much needed break.
So, what am I up to over the next few weeks? Well well well I am excited to tell you that I will be competing in the Barra Classic held on the Daly River from the 1st until the 5th of May. I will be down there for a number of days leading up to it to prepare and will likely be way too exhausted to even get a post up when I am back.
For anyone who knows me, knows that I am very much an inside type of guy that loves to be playing games, watching movies and most of all not getting unnecessarily sunburnt. SO this whole week out fishing will be actually tough for me because I know that when I do overnight trips fishing I am actually stuffed and 5 comp days plus pre fishing days will ruin me. Although it may look like I am complaining I am actually super keen to be out there and look forward to challenging myself. I will be religiously putting on sunscreen and staying out of the sun that is for sure!
Thinking of the sun, we got some sick ass shirts made for this trip which you will see scattered throughout this post. These shirts were a long process to get done but were well worth it in the end, with them A) looking sick B) will protect us from the sun C) the three of us in the team have matching so it's even cooler.
On another personal note, I haven't been training at the gym and have started running again with the hopes of running the city to surf in Darwin happening in June. By the time this post goes live I will have just over a month of training to go which I am sure will be challenging to keep up without getting an injury. I will be sure to keep you all updated!! :D. The City to Surf is 12.7km and very challenging in the Darwin heat.
